For myself I know I feel the most fulfillment and happiness spending quality time with family, expressing creativity and loving all things related to homes. Family fills me with bottomless love, energy (or sometimes lack of, let’s be real), and reason to be a better human. The freedom to be creative fuels my imagination and allows me the time and space to turn ideas into reality. It is my outlet, my therapy. A home is a sacred space because it is so much more than just a shelter, it is a backdrop to one’s life story. It is a place for celebration, for healing, refuge and future generations. Financially, it is one of the biggest purchases a person will ever make. The journey of finding or letting go of a home can be an emotional and stressful one but it doesn’t have to be. My background includes:
- 11 years of renting character homes,
- 10 years as business strategist, designer + co-owner to a POC, women-led, family restaurant (@themothcafe @cafemosaics),
- 10 years as a property manager,
- 8 years as a brazilian jiu jitsu practitioner (IYKYK)
- 5 years as a designer with a Masters degree in Architecture,
- 5 years of being a co-home owner to a 1910s apartment building, 1930s original farm house and 1950s bungalow,
- 3.5 years of creating opportunities for jiu jiteiras to connect in a non-competitive, inclusive and safe place, as well as supporting women-led and small businesses (@jitsneats)
- Design lead on home renovations in Edmonton.
The knowledge and skillset I bring to real estate is unique and diverse. I am an active listener, lifelong learner, do-er, go-getter, and multi-tasker. As I connect the dots looking back I feel I am right where I need to be.
